Day time events (below) 10.30 am - 1pm: All are free with retiring collection. Entry via main doors in Rosevean Road. Themed Floral Displays and Artwork from Local Schools.

Evening Concerts at 7.30 pm: £12.00 or Season ticket: £60.00. Tickets include programme. Refreshments available during intervals.

Sunday 12th May: 11.00 am Festival Mass - All welcome. Music led by the Church Choir directed by David Gridley.

12.30 pm Buffet Lunch .. £10 per head to include a glass of wine. Tickets to be purchased in advance for catering purposes: 01736 362619

2024 Music Programme

Monday 13th May: £12 Organ Recital by Andrew Wyatt. Assistant organist of Truro Cathedral.
Music by Bach, Franck, Delius and Duruflé

Tuesday 14th May: £12 The Marian Consort. In their much anticipated return to Penzance, the consort performs works by 16th century masters Byrd, Tallis and Parsons, alongside modern classics from our own time.

Wednesday 15th May: £12 Celtic Fiddlers. A string ensemble directed by Pamela Rosenfeld and Liz Gregg, playing traditional tunes from around the British Isles including Skye Boat Song, The White Rose and a selection of jigs, reels and hornpipes

Thursday 16th May: Music For A While. Colin Wilson (countertenor), Alistair Wood (violin), Patrick Gale (cello) and Nigel Wicken (continuo) - A beautiful and eclectic programme of music including Purcell, Vivaldi, Bach, Telemann and Bielby.

Friday 17th May: £12 The Jopes Ensemble. Victoria Cornet, Nick Beach, Phil Montgomery-Smith, Richarda Schmidt and Barbara Degener. Two of the greatest works in the chamber music repertoire—the Quintets for clarinet and strings by Mozart and Brahms

Saturday 18th May: £12 Mousehole Male Voice Choir. Directed by Stephen Lawry, with accompanist Annette Turton, perform a varied programme, including Danny Boy- Mousehole MVC website

Sunday 19 May: Pentecost. 11.00 am Solemn Mass

6.00 pm Choral Vespers followed by light refreshments to close the Festival Week. Music led by the Church Choir, directed by David Gridley

Monday 13th May: Basic Apologetics. In this talk you will learn how to give a basic defence of your faith.
It is important for all Christians to feel confident when defending their faith with so many competing world views.

Tuesday 14th May: Saints and Sinners. Anne Shipman will use her book Saints and Sinners to talk about the Oxford Movement and Canon Shortland: a dynamic and transformative cleric, to whom we in the Catholic Church of Penzance owe a great debt of gratitude.

Wednesday 15th May: Growing Links, Penzance. A presentation by Lynne Dyer of Growing Links, an organisation that specialises in various community projects, helping all ages to be active in an outdoor environment, such as growing, cooking and sharing food.

Thursday 16th May: National Garden Scheme and Propogation. Want to know more about how the NGS helped with our community garden, and what the NGS does within West Penwith? Graham Sykes from Trevenna Cross Nursery will give a talk about the NGS and a demonstration on the art of propagation.

Friday 17th May: CAFOD - John Cosgrove will give a talk with a short video on the worldwide extent of Cafod’s reach, in countries ravaged by war and famine.
