Gift Aid and Legacies. Financing the Parish:

Weekly Offering envelopes are available for both gift aiders and those wishing to use envelopes for their weekly offering. If you are a tax payer and do not yet gift aid, please consider it, it is at no extra cost to yourself. If you do not pay tax, please consider using envelopes to plan. It is the regular giving that keeps our head above water. Cheques should be payable to 'PRCDTR Penwith R.C. Parish'.

'Gift Aid' envelopes are available for visitors who can support us this 'free' extra way with any offering you wish to make in the Sunday collection. Thank you. It really helps.

If you would like to contribute financially to the work of our parish, you can do so by making donations under the Gift Aid scheme, either as a regular contributor or by a 'one off' donation. For more information or about leaving us a legacy, please contact Fr. Philip & the Parish Treasurer.

Fundraising: Please continue to think about new ideas & pass on to Fr. Philip, as all our buildings need continued maintenance and renewal. For current fundraising events: see newsletter

Donations (can be gift aided) to our 'Pilgrimage Assistance Fund' are very welcome. Helps anyone who cannot afford full cost of pilgrimage to Walsingham, Medjugorje,  Lourdes, etc.

Exposition of The Blessed Sacrament

'Watch and Pray' / Eucharistic Adoration
In Church on Tuesdays see newsletter for times, not school holidays. New members for rota always needed.

What is Watch and Pray? It is spending some silent, quiet
time with the Lord in his Blessed Sacrament. The Psalmist
said “Be still and know that I am God.” “There in thine ear
all trustfully we tell our tale of misery”, as the Hymn “Sweet
Sacrament Divine (294) says, or just pour out our hearts to
him or peacefully just be in His Presence.

["Do you want our Lord to give you many graces? Visit him often. Do you want him to give you few graces? Visit him seldom. Visits to the Blessed Sacrament are powerful and indispensable means of overcoming the attacks of the devil. Make frequent visits to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and the devil will be powerless against you." ~ Saint John Bosco]

Novena (Ascension Thursday to Pentecost) 'Gracious Father, pour out Your Spirit upon Your people, and grant us a new vision of Your Glory, a new experience of your power, A new consecration to your service, That your love may grow among us, and your kingdom come; through Christ our Lord, Amen'

We ask your blessing, Gracious God, on our parish. May it always assemble in peace, in reconciliation, justice and joy, in praise of you and in service to the world. May we always accept each other with gratitude and build up each other as members of one body. Teach us to give instead of demanding, to trust others rather than to compel trust, to serve rather than to be served. Make us thankful for the variety of gifts and differences of personality that enrich us. Help us to accept our differences of age, giving respect to the old and encouragement to the young. Never let us be satisfied with imperfections but also teach us that patience which is yours. In peace let us be open to listen and to speak with readiness to learn. Purge from our hearts all bitterness, jealousy and thoughts of revenge. Lift us out of depression and sadness. Let us accept joyfully the service of those who lead us, so that we may grow together in love. May we be one as your Son, Jesus Christ, prayed that we might be. With him in the unity of the holy Spirit we give you all honour and glory. AMEN

Our Lady - Patron of Penzance Catholic Church and of our Holy Family Parish Primary School. Queen of Peace & Reconciliation
please pray for all who have recourse to thee and for Love, Peace and Justice in our troubled world

Through Her we see Him, made sweeter, not dim; And Her hand leaves His light, sifted to suit our sight.' ~ G.M. Hopkins

We hope you enjoy our website and find it useful. Many blessings to all our visitors:
The Lord bless and keep you; The Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;  The Lord lift His countenance upon you and give you peace.
