The Queen of Peace (Medjugorje) Prayer Group
meets in the (upper room) Chapel of St. Mary's Haven on the second Tuesday each month at 7.15 for 7.30 p.m.
 Everyone is very welcome to join us for a peaceful hour (often a little more) of shared prayer
Meetings are frequently rearranged around other parish events or may move to the Church or parish hall. See printed or online newsletter
Is this for you? If unsure, just 'taste & see'. There are no 'membership' formalities, just a common desire to pray together
We are an ecumenical prayer group & all are welcome to come together in "Mary's school of prayer", where She is always pointing us to Jesus, to give thanks, praise, sing (contemporary & traditional) and pray especially for:- world peace, justice & unity, peace within ourselves, our families, friends and parish; for our Priests; vocations to the religious life; the sick; holy souls especially those who have no one to pray for them; personal intercessions; everything else inspired by the Holy Spirit at each meeting. Personal testimony is often shared. Scripture passages are included.
We have been nurtured by Our Lady and the Holy Spirit for over 7 years and continue to grow in all senses - Praised be Jesus. You don't need to have been to Medjugorje or even feel you want to go (we can help if you do) to join in, although we welcome anyone with an interest in experiencing Our Lady's school of prayer, through Her messages reported by the Medjugorje visionaries. Notes on the latest are available each month.
Group members also actively serve our lively community in many other parish & outside events, including our Divine Mercy Sunday devotions

I desire that you cooperate with me in everything, even in the smallest things. September 25, 2000 "... Today I call you to open yourselves to prayer. May prayer become joy for you. Renew prayer in your families and form prayer groups. In this way, you will experience joy in prayer and togetherness. All those who pray and are members of prayer groups are open to God’s will in their hearts and joyfully witness God’s love. June 25, 2004 "... Also today, joy is in my heart. I desire to thank you for making my plan realisable. Each of you is important, therefore, little children, pray and rejoice with me for every heart that has converted and become an instrument of peace in the world. Prayer groups are powerful, and through them I can see, little children, that the Holy Spirit is at work in the world. ..."

The apparitions that Mirjana experiences on the 2nd of each month are intended for non-believers, or, as Our Lady calls them, "those who do not yet know the love of God."
