The Queen of Peace (Medjugorje) Prayer Group
meets in the (upper room) Chapel of St. Mary's Haven on the second Tuesday each month at 7.15 for 7.30 p.m.
 Everyone is very welcome to join us for a peaceful hour (often a little more) of shared prayer
Meetings may be rearranged around other parish events or move to the Church or parish hall. See printed or online newsletter
Is this for you? If unsure, just 'taste & see'. There are no membership formalities, just a common desire to pray together
We are an ecumenical prayer group & all are welcome to come to Mary's 'school of prayer' where She is always pointing us to Jesus, to give thanks, praise, sing (modern & traditional), praying together especially:- for world peace, justice & unity, peace within ourselves, our families, friends and parish; for our Priests, for vocations to the religious life; for the sick; for holy souls especially those who have no one to pray for them; for personal intercessions; for everything else inspired by the Holy Spirit at each meeting. Personal testimony is often shared. Scripture passages are included.
We have been nurtured by Our Lady and the Holy Spirit for 7 years and continue to grow in all senses - Praised be Jesus. You don't need to have been to Medjugorje or even feel you want to go (we can help if you do) to join in, although we welcome anyone with an interest in experiencing Our Lady's school of prayer, through Her messages reported by the Medjugorje visionaries. Notes on the latest are available each month.
Group members also actively serve our lively community in many other parish & outside events, including our Divine Mercy Sunday devotions

(It is accepted that final judgement on authenticity of any Medjugorje apparitions rests with the Holy See)

January 23, 1986 "... Again I call you to prayer with the heart. If you pray with the heart, dear children, the ice of your brothers will melt and every barrier shall disappear. March 6, 1986 "... Today I call you to open yourselves more to God, so that He can work through you. The more you open
yourselves, the more you receive the fruits. I wish to call you again to prayer. ..."

August 28, 1986 "... My call is that in everything you would be an image for others, especially in prayer and witnessing. Dear children, without you I am not able to help the world. I desire that you cooperate with me in everything, even in the smallest things. Therefore, dear children, help me by letting your prayer be from the heart and all of you surrendering completely to me. That way I shall be able to teach and lead you on this way which I have begun with you. ..."

September 25, 2000 "... Today I call you to open yourselves to prayer. May prayer become joy for you. Renew prayer in your families and form prayer groups. In this way, you will experience joy in prayer and togetherness. All those who pray and are members of prayer groups are open to God’s will in their hearts and joyfully witness God’s love. I am with you, I carry all of you in my heart and I bless you with my motherly blessing. Thank you ..."

June 25, 2004 "... Also today, joy is in my heart. I desire to thank you for making my plan realisable. Each of you is important, therefore, little children, pray and rejoice with me for every heart that has converted and become an instrument of peace in the world. Prayer groups are powerful, and through them I can see, little children, that the Holy Spirit is at work in the world. ..."

The apparitions that Mirjana experiences on the 2nd of each month are intended for non-believers, or, as Our Lady calls them, "those who do not yet know the love of God."
