Armistice Day 11th November
Remembrance Sunday 2018 is on
The centenary of the First World War (2014 to 2018)
We remember with thanksgiving all who have
died in conflicts everywhere, long ago, current and
They shall grow
not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Laurence Binyon (1869 - 1943) Poems
for the Fallen link
When you go home tell them of us and
for your tomorrow, we gave our today.
"In Flanders Fields"
Remembrance is a golden chain,
Death tries to break,
but all in vain.
To have, to love, and then to part.
Is the greatest sorrow of one's heart.
The years may wipe out many things.
But some they wipe out never.
Like memories of those happy times,
When we were all together. ~ anon
