remember: Talk to God
when you come in.
Talk to each other on the way out. Be sensitive to those who
want to pray in quiet, all unnecessary talk outside the church.

On
9th August 2011, The Church of England published A Prayer for Peace in Our Communities online. It
reads: "Gracious
God, We pray for peace in our communities this day. We commit to
you all who work for peace and an end to tensions, And those who
work to uphold law and justice. We pray for an end to fear, For
comfort and support to those who suffer. For calm in our streets
and cities, That people may go about their lives in safety and
peace. In your mercy, hear our prayers, now and always.
Amen"
Prayer to Mary Queen of Heaven: O exalted Queen of Heaven,
Supreme Mistress of the Angels, who from the beginning has received from
God the power and the commission to crush the serpent’s head, we pray
thee humbly, send down thy holy legions, that they under thy command and
power, may pursue the spirits of hell, everywhere wage war against them,
defeat their boldness and thrust them into the abyss of hell -Who is like
unto God? O kind and tender Mother, thou shalt ever remain our love and
hope. O Divine Master, send thy holy angels to defend me and cast away
from me the cruel enemy. Holy angels and archangels, defend us, protect
us! Amen. (Imprimatur, NY, 1936) [from Children of
Medjugorje Newsletter August 2011]

A new initiative is being launched to encourage parishes to reach out to
non church-going (lapsed) Catholics. Called "Where are
they now?", the project aims to equip Catholics to
extend an invitation to those who, for many different reasons, have
stopped attending Church. It is sponsored by the Catholic Agency to
Support Evangelisation (CASE) which has sent resource packs to every
parish and religious house in the Diocese and across England and Wales.
The hope is that it will complement the outreach ministries already
started in the diocese. read more on Diocesan website

A Prayer to Padre Pio - (more) Beloved Padre Pio, today I come to add my prayer to the thousands of
prayers offered to you every day by those who love and venerate you. They
ask for cures and healings, earthly and spiritual blessings, and peace for
body and mind. And because of your friendship with the Lord, he heals
those you ask to be healed, and forgives those you forgive.
Through your visible wounds of the Cross, which you bore for 50 years, you
were chosen in our time to glorify the crucified Jesus. Because the Cross
has been replaced by other symbols, please help us to bring it back in our
midst, for we acknowledge it is the only true sign of salvation. As we lovingly recall the wounds that pierced your hands, feet and side,
we not only remember the blood you shed in pain, but your smile, and the
invisible halo of sweet smelling flowers that surrounded your presence,
the perfume of sanctity. Padre Pio, may the healings of the sick become the testimony that the Lord
has invited you to join the holy company of Saints. In your kindness,
please help me with my own special request: (mention here your petition,
and make the sign of the Cross).
Bless me and my loved ones. In the name of the Father, the Son and the
Holy Spirit. Amen.."
Daily Novena Prayer to St Joseph
Feast day 19th March:-
Almighty God, you have chosen Saint Joseph to be the mainstay of Jesus
and Mary, the wise and faithful servant in whom they could trust. We
pray that he may truly be the guardian of your Church; that he
may inspire with confidence those who are devoted to him; that he may
give security to those who work in the vineyard of Your Son; and
finally, that he may be a source of strength to us, who wish, like
him, to dedicate ourselves to Christ's service, now and in times to
come. Amen. <:))))<>< Novena

Prayer Attributed to St. Augustine: Watch, dear
Lord, with those who wake or watch or weep tonight, and give your angels
charge over those who sleep. Tend your sick ones, O Lord Jesus Christ,
rest your weary ones, bless your dying ones, soothe your suffering ones,
shield your joyous ones, and all for your love’s sake. Amen.
Please continue to pray for an end to all
wars, violence, injustice and famine Strong and merciful God,
You crush wars and overthrow the proud;
banish violence from the Middle East
and wipe away the tears of those who suffer.
May all men and women, made in Your image and likeness,
find in Your love and mercy, a pattern for their lives.
We ask this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever, Amen

"Peace is not the product of terror or fear. Peace is
not the silence of cemeteries. Peace is not the silent result of violent
repression. Peace is the generous, tranquil contribution of all to the
good of all. Peace is dynamism. Peace is generosity. It is right and it is
duty." Oscar Romero
"Peace, peace,
peace and only peace! Peace must reign between God and man and also
between men!"
