The Corrymeela Community is a residential centre on the Antrim coast of Northern Ireland founded in 1965 as a Christian centre for reconciliation in Ireland. Its logo describes it now as: 'Committed to reconciliation in Ireland and throughout the world'. Their experience has much to teach us about conflict resolution and living with difference. When we have Justice and Peace, we will have "Law and Order" a popular political goal!

a new parish group was proposed in 2005
to be guided by the existing Plymouth Diocese Justice and Peace Commission

A current, serious local concern is the poor treatment and conditions of many migrant field and other workers, by some gangmasters. A 2nd collection was taken to help a local ecumenical initiative with assisting some in our district.

(A group is active in the Cornish parish of St. Austell)

A series of four weekly meetings start on Thursday 9th June on the theme of the current campaign to "Make Poverty History".  Each meeting will take place twice on Thursdays - afternoons in the Parish Hall and evenings in the Haven. See newsletter for times.
