recording ended prematurely: the ending is: "The Eucharist is also a source of our religious emotions. Towards the Blessed Sacrament we are drawn back to God in expressions of adoration, love, thanksgiving, asking and repentance, the first letter of these emotions spell ALTAR. Who is there before our gaze? It is the Lord. It is the Word of the Father, born of the flesh of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and now become the Bread of Life for us, to nourish and feed us. These three moments of divine presence can be expressed in our prayer: Word, made flesh, made bread. The Real Presence of God."

[ 1st reading; Apocalypse;  2nd, 1 Corinthians 15:20-27 ]

Pope Francis on the Gospel reading Catholic News Agency, Pope Francis criticizes 'ornamental' faith ... Jesus’ remarks in Sunday’s Gospel are challenging. -  this verse merits explanation to prevent misunderstanding. Jesus does not “wish to divide mankind against itself,” -  “On the contrary. Jesus is our peace and our reconciliation.” -  this peace is not “neutrality” or “compromise at all costs.” - “To follow Jesus requires renunciation of evil, of egoism, and choosing good, truth, justice. It also requires sacrifice and a renunciation of self-interest,” Pope Francis said Jesus does not divide. Rather, He establishes criteria: “live for self, or live for God and others; be served, or serve; obey self, or obey God.” - “And so in this sense Jesus is ‘a sign of contradiction’,” -  “The true strength of Christianity is the strength of faith, of love, that involves the renunciation of all violence.” - “ Faith and violence are incompatible,” Pope Francis repeated twice for emphasis. “The Christian is not violent, but he is strong with the force of love.”
